Pedestal Bowl

I’ve always enjoyed exploring texture, color, and appliqué in my work, but this piece took me in a new direction. This time, I focused on form, keeping the design clean and simple. I started with a small, understated bowl shape and then crafted a pedestal to elevate it—both literally and figuratively. The result is a piece that feels balanced and grounded, yet quietly sophisticated.

Measuring approximately 6.5 inches wide and standing 3 3/4 inches tall

A clean and simple bowl placed on a pedestal. The glaze has two layers. One of which is black and the other a Pistachio Shino lending the bowl a speckled look.

A minimalistic bowl sits elegantly atop its pedestal, showcasing simplicity in form. The glaze features two distinct layers—one in deep black and the other in Pistachio Shino—creating a speckled texture that adds depth and intrigue to its design.
