Maple Leaf Vase

I find immense satisfaction in working with form, texture—including appliqué—and color. Pottery opens the door to all of this for me, offering endless possibilities to bring imagination to life. This piece is part of a recently completed series where I explored the interplay between natural forms, intricate surface details, and the earthy tones of shino glazes. As the third in the series, this small vase captures a sense of organic elegance with its maple leaf appliqué. Its modest size belies the depth of its character, with subtle variations in glaze finish creating a warm, layered effect that invites closer inspection.
