Maple Leaf Bowl 2

As I mentioned in my previous post in creating the first Maple Leaf Bowl, there are numerous aspects of pottery that truly inspire me and that I love to experiment with. These elements include the fascinating interplay of texture, the elegant variety of form, and creatively using techniques such as appliqué to enhance my pieces. This bowl is larger than the first one but basically the same technique, I used a different glaze on the background. The glaze is named, Mayco: Speckled Stroke & Coat which creates a random pattern of different colored speckles. that I like. I’ll probably be using this glaze more in the future.

Dimensions: 9 inches wide x 3.75 inches deep

The Maple Leaf bowl is part of a series of clay creations that use appliqué.
